Biography
About
Lucy Billingsley has spent her career in real estate, developing and managing commercial developments. In 1978 she started Billingsley Company with her husband, Henry, to manage their growing real estate portfolio in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The company specializes in developing office buildings, multi-family, retail and industrial properties, and several large master-planned communities.
Her non-profit engagement began in microfinance with Grameen Foundation, out of which she co-founded and launched Chiapas International. She is a member of the National Geographic Society’s International Council of Advisors, the Council of Foreign Relations, and the UT Dallas Center for Brain Health Advisory Committee; a Trustee of Southwestern Medical Foundation; and serves on the Board of Directors for The Real Estate Council, the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations, and for Southern Methodist University’s Tower Center for Political Studies and Folsom Institute for Real Estate.
Born and raised in Dallas, Lucy is a graduate of The University of Texas with a B.B.A. in finance. She lives in Dallas with her husband, Henry, and has four adult children and five grandchildren.
